Hello VanRO's players
Oh my god, it's almost Christmas and I got a good new for you!
Current HR Server has been successfully merge to the test server. All we need to do is testing the stability and balancing now.
We will sure have the server ready with all the new features before new year
!
Third class should come soon at the beginning of 2011. Some skills has been changed as Gunslinger and some weak class skills. It will help the balancing unused and weak classes.
The Test Server is only a test server and no characters or items located on Test will be merge into the official HR server.
During this mean time, VanRO team wish you a merry Christmas!

Delay and Gaming Experience Optimisation [Update 01-30-2010]
Reportedly, the above gaming tweak (disabling nagle's algorithm) can reduce latency by almost half! SHould works with VanRO also.
ALso changing your MTU to the right one would also improve performence..
DISABLE NAGLE:
Description
Disables nagling. Nagling is a TCP feature that combines several small packets into a single, larger packet for more efficient transmission.
By default, Message Queuing (also known as MSMQ) enables nagling on the TCP sockets it uses. This improves overall performance, but it might briefly delay transmission of smaller packets. If the delay is undesirable or unacceptable, then you can add this entry to the registry to disable nagling.
FOR WINDOWS VISTA AND WINDOWS 7:
1. From a command prompt (usually in All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt) run “regedit”
2. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces
3. Browse the items under interfaces until you find one that has an IPAddress entry matching the network interface you want to affect (typically LAN IP addresses start with 192.168 or 10.0); note that if your IP address is automatically assigned by a DHCP server you may need to look for a matching DhcpIPAddress instead of IPAddress

This new bot scanner script has been code by me for over few days and it should detect most of the online. This GM section will also come with a auto ban button that will ban the entire bot IP.
It currently in test and will be implement soon for all GM.

Hello, VanRO is proud to works to make a play-safe environnement.
Starting in few days, You will not be able anymore to trade/vend in account for the first 10 minutes when you log in.
The current security time measure is 10 minutes. It could be change later by me if we think its not long enough.
This will help people to log back into the account before the hacker was able to trade/vend something. And sometime, could help GM to get the hacker before they was able to do anything.

Hello everyone,
If you are newbie, there's few players having the name: "HELPER-" in front of his character name. They are ready to help you if you are lost in quest and some stuff. They cannot help you with account as GM or admin. They are also not completetly trustable.
THEY WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR PASSWORD AND LOGIN
THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY GM POWER.
How to know if they are really official Helper or not?
the character name should start with a "HELPER-", which the "-" character is forbidden for normal character. You will know if its official or not.
How to become a helper?
Yes you can be a helper too, but thats still a big job. If you willing to be a helper, make sure your account is abuse-free and manner-free. You can always leave your name in this forum and if you are lucky, you will become one.
If you are newbie, there's few players having the name: "HELPER-" in front of his character name. They are ready to help you if you are lost in quest and some stuff. They cannot help you with account as GM or admin. They are also not completetly trustable.
THEY WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR PASSWORD AND LOGIN
THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY GM POWER.
How to know if they are really official Helper or not?
the character name should start with a "HELPER-", which the "-" character is forbidden for normal character. You will know if its official or not.
